    From what you say above, I assume I could create a custom inventory property e.g. XI_SUP_WORKORDER, and using a message scenario on Launch Condition - Create Activity, I could populate the new customer inventory property to be set by property field that contains the SAP Workorder. This then becomes a property I can search by as "inventory" on an Activity?

    Assuming then I would amend the search criteria for inventory to include the new custom property on Business Rules? Which should make it visible to search by that property on the supervisor app? Repeat for whatever Activity fields I may want to search on...

    This would be a fantastic enhancement, and one that would be hugely beneficial to our business. We have a lot of urgent data requirements within our industry such as overlaying hot spots to our current and fluctuating workloads.

    Hi Saul,

    I think this is a great idea! From a business perspective, a behavior we would like to see. A lot of our 2 man activities are for health and safety reasons, if for any reason, a dispatcher missed that the Linked activities were no longer starting at the same time, it could result in aborted work and having to re-arrange for another time.

    I can't agree with Zsolt on this one i'm afraid. We are an organisation with circa 1400 engineers. There are multiple Non-Availabilities which can occur with little notice or even in day. One team process these unavilabilites in SAP, and through integration the availability changes on the Gantt view that another person sees. There is too much other activities to monitor and manually move this work back to an "Open Work" bucket.

    There needs to be flexibility around a change here. For example, low priority work that could go back out for any engineer at any time could/should move to an open work bucket. If its a customer appointment then these could stay on the gantt view notification to the scheduler, as a prompt from a Message Scenario that another resource needs to be found.

    This is something that would really benefit our implementation. This is a status flow that existed in our previous scheduling solution, one that we can not do without, as a temp work around, we are applying a custom property which is set when the engineer triggers  ACPT user status in SAP. This allows us to keep a 121 status relationship with SAP.

    I’ve raised a request in idea labs which is a requirement to have a visual display in gantt view. I believe this is a similar request, that idea above could be extended further to include a field in list view which is data which can be passed through integration if it already exists in your master data system. Please view and like it if you see benefit to your requirement.

    Hi Zsolt,

    Thankyou for your prompt review of our issue. I should also add that we aren't using the OFS mobility module. A decision which has multiple implications.

    Using our mobile solution and strategic business rules, certain engineer types need to be able to pick up work out of sequence, and have this functionality available to them on their mobile device. The mobile solution was designed for a previous Scheduling solution and we now, where possible need to replicate certain functionality in OFS, or at least provide a solution to the specific requirements.

    By this do you mean a work pattern (shifts) for a resource. Such as

    Resource A -

    • Monday 08:00 to 16:00
    • Tuesday 10:00 to 18:00
    • Wednesday 08:00 to 16:00
    • Thursday 12:00 to 20:00
    • Friday 08:00 to 16:00

    If that is the case you can set these work schedules through API and master the data in your HR system.

    We are just going through an implementation of OFS now. We have resources that work standard shifts for example 08:00 to 16:00 then 1 team resource will cover an additional shift "Optional Hours" from 16:00 to 08:00 (a standby shift). This is managed through integration from our HR system to send 2 shifts through for an individual on the same day.

    In OFS you can create 2 shifts for an engineer on the same day as long as one of the shifts is "On Call". It can not overlap with the previous shift time. Hence why your original 09:00 to 18:00 shift is being removed.

    You can not put 2 shifts on the engineer for normal working time on the same day, if that is required I would implement the same way as Zsolt has suggested above, by having 1 shift which covers 09:00 - 18:00 and apply an internal activity (break) between 12:00 and 15:00
