    Title:
    Customize Survey Link in Message Templates
    Content:

    How do I add a querystring to the survey link in Message Templates? I don't see any option to do so or how to customize the widget which looks like this:

    <rn:survey_link survey_id="59">Click here to take the survey</rn:survey_link>

    Any thoughts/suggestionts? I'm currently in Aug17 release.

    Thanks in advance!

      hey Marv,

      you can just add the merge fields in the source code, like this;

      <rn:survey_link survey_id="359"><rn:merge field_name="contacts.first_name" type="text">First Name</rn:merge>Take Survey</rn:survey_link>

      Just drop the fields you need below the link and in the Source Mode copy and paste them within the survey link.

      Hey Bastiaan,

      I'm trying to append a querystring such as "?question_1=100". The XML parser generates an error when I try your method and the application won't allow me to save changes.

      I was somehow able to save it. I still don't see a way to insert a querystring.

      Marv,

      thought you wanted to add merge text to the link text itself. I don't think there's a way to insert parameters to the link of the survey. What you might do is create different starting points in the survey / different surveys and create separate links which you display dependent on a field of the contact / incident by using a conditional section / case section in the message template.

      I'm pretty sure I mentioned querystring the first time. I don't think creating different starting points is going to work either. I want to add "?question_1=100" to the survey link in the message template to prepopulate question #1 when customers hit the survey page, for example. I can't find any information as well in the docs. Is this the end of the line?

      I'm pretty sure I did not see it then the first time.

      I do not see a way to add that to the query string since this is dynamically generated to include the contact & incident details, so you have to look at a different solution at the survey level.

      Is that question_1=100 variable and where is it based on then? Or do you always want to sent that along?
