    Title:
    Integration with external system
    Content:

    Hi Gurus,

During integration with other application without ICS, we can use a middleware like JBOSS or write CPM in OSvC. By calling the REST API from the external application we can push the data to OFSC.

But how do we push data form OFSC to the external application in real time?

    Thanks,

    Madhu

      Hi Madhu,

For example through Outbound API https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/field-service/18c/faobs/index.html, with messages: Configuration / Message Scenarios https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/field-service/18c/famsc/index.html

      Regards,
      Zsolt

      Hi Zsolt,

Is it that using message scenario we can push data in real time with the help of trigger in message scenario.

And to call webserivce of the external system we can use the plugins.

      Thanks,

      Madhu

IMO with Message Scenarios combined with Outbound API you can send data directly to your external system. The question is, is it able to understand the message in that format? If yes, then no any additional steps necessary, but if no, then for example a middleware need to be implemented.
      "Outbound Interface Overview
Outbound API is used for interaction between the OFSC message engine and external Middleware. Middleware is the software that needs to be developed in order to integrate OFSC with external system(s)."

And the other hand, you can do many things with Plugins https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/field-service/18c/fapcf/index.html
      "Oracle Field Service Cloud Plug-in
An external application that is used to extend Oracle Field Service Cloud capabilities with custom features. The external application can be an HTML 5 application, an offline HTML 5 application, or a mobile application."
But this is a separate topic.

      Hi Madhu,

If you are doing a new implementation project then I would suggest you should go for REST API EVENT Subscriptions. You can have a quick reference here: https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/field-service/18c/cxfsc/api-core-events.html
