    Title:
[Not Planned] Ability to add Activity ID in Search preferences in Core Manage Screen
    User Story / Description:

Currently OFSC allowing custom Activity Search Field to be included in Core Manage Search Preferences. This tools is handy. What is not available is the ability to select the default property "Activity ID" (property label:aid) into the search preference in Core Manage screen.

      Hi,

Thanks for sharing your idea with the Idea Lab.

Our customers use the identifier from their host system to locate  information. For example: Customer ID, Work Order Number, Phone Number...  Can you provide additional context on why "aid" would be needed for search?

      Thanks,

Oracle Field Service Cloud Product Management Team

      Mike:
we use AID to identify the relationship between the activity ID of OFSC with our work order that we have in our external system.

      Hi Sebastian,

The recommended approach is to use the unique identifier from your external system so why not search OFSC using the work order number or unique identifier from your external system?   Is there a business reason why that would not work?

      Thanks,

      Hi,

I would like to add to this point. We too would benefit from the AID being available via search. We use a unique identifier for our activities, but when we work with Oracle to resolve SR's this is done so with AID. As an administrator, I would benefit from being able to utilise this functionality when troubleshooting issues and helping to provide further evidence for outstanding tickets.

      Regards

      Chris
