    Title:
Message Scenario : File Property in Message Body
    Content:

    Hello OFSC people,

I have client's requirements as the following:

    1. At the job completion, the Field Tech will be required to send the activities collected on the field back to the source system of record

    2. Preference to use the Outbound API by utilising the OFSC Message Scenario functionality

    Questions :

Can Message Scenario cater the above requirements?  Would it be possible to include the custom "file property"  in the message body/payload?

Any advise on work around/alternative solution will be really appreciate it

    Thanks - Jeffry

      Hi Jeffrey,

Passing the file property doesn't pass the actual file but just the name.

In your scenario you can pass the file property to your external system, then from the external system call "get file" method. This will pull the file from OFSC which you can store in your system.

Documentation for GET FILE using REST API.

      https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/field-service/18a/cxfsc/op-rest-ofsccore-v1-activities-activityid-propertylabel-get.html

      Regards,

      Hardik

Hello Hardik. Thanks for confirming and providing alternative solution to use REST API get file property from the source system API. Can we also use GET events, where we can include the custom file property as part of the subscriptions in that event during the activity completion? Thanks.

i have a look at the Get Event documentation and find out the "Header Parameter" available for Get Event call not contain the same with "Header Parameter" in Get File call, which is the 'accept' string.
If anybody has different views on this, please let me know. Thank you.
