    Title:
    2015 Community All-Star Spotlight: Suresh Kumar T
    Content:

Many thanks to Erica Anderson at Oracle for selecting me as a 2015 Community All-Star. Per her request, here is a little bit about me.

    Company

I was working at Cognizant, but I moved to Oracle on August 31st.

    Title

My new title is Senior Consultant, Oracle Service Cloud.

How long have you been using Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow)?

    7.3 years

How has your role evolved since first using Oracle Service Cloud?

I used Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow) from 2006 onwards first as an Call Center agent and then from 2008 onwards as Administrator, then Developer and now Consultant...Journey has been great especially as Solution Architect. I have worked on Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow) for E4E, IBM India, Mahindra Satyam, Payoda, Cognizant, and starting on August 31st, I joined Oracle to work on the Oracle Service Cloud team.

What is something innovative that you’ve done with Oracle Service Cloud in your organization?

    • Implemented Multi-select List which is not possible in OSVC and made very complex by client as items in the list should be populated from Third party web service call and various Business Logic
    • Created SMS Interaction channel for notifications
    • Multiple Chat timings for single interface (via PHP customization)
    • Completed a Siebel-RightNow integration

Favorite part of Oracle Service Cloud:

Service Module, Analytics and API, especially .NET Add-Ins they look cool though can be difficult to maintain.

Oracle Service Cloud in one word or phrase:

.NET Thick Client with excellent look and feel

What advice would you give to someone who is new to Oracle Service Cloud?

Work on use cases rather than reading. This is my experience as I used to read lot of articles, User Guides, etc. to learn new concepts but I would forget it in due course of time. But it will be hardcoded in my mind if I do practical scenarios called "Use Cases" which normally I get via Discussion Forums, colleagues and clients.

What keeps you coming back to the Oracle Service Cloud Community?

Innovative solutions provided by participants and expect advices from Allan Schrum, James Watson, Robert LundBastiaan van der Kooij, Andy Rowse, Arun Kanth, MB, Anurag Mittal....

How do you stay current on Oracle Service Cloud?

As Solution Architect and Technical Lead, I check the latest documentation, Service Pack release notes and then most important of all, following Discussion Forums and CXDeveloper.com.

What do you like to do for fun?

Latest science and technology news and watch movies and infotainment channels

If there was a movie produced about your life, who would play you and why?

Dhanush because he looks boy next door like me....shy and introvert like me.....

If you could take a vacation anywhere in the world, where you would go?

    Switzerland

If you could replay a fun (or deep or big) moment in your life, what would you choose?

Coming to Bangalore for IT Job because that decision changed my life forever. My first job was for Symantec Products as Technical Support Engineer (Call Center Employee) in 2004 and used RightNow 7.5.x as case logging, so journey started from there, and it continued till I moved to Application Development Team in the same Company (E4E) as RightNow Administrator in 2008, and from there, I learnt all aspects of Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow).

What would be a perfect afternoon for you?

Watching classic movies and spending time in nature

What was your dream job when you were a kid?

A bank job as I was curious that they always deal with monies...
