    [Delivered] Temporary resource assignment725

    Title:
    [Delivered] Temporary resource assignment
    User Story / Description:

Include a way to manage temporary resource assignments to buckets. Typical use: a tech temporarily moves for a week to another bucket.  Currently to achieve this, it is very laborious, manual process to move the resource to a different bucket.

It often happens that we need to balance resources temporarily and the current solutions on OFS are either to move it manually between buckets or create a duplicate of that resource on another bucket.  We currently create a duplicate on another bucket, because the assignment is only temporary (usually 1-2 days) and then he goes back to his original work zone.

This feature request would avoid manual work that can result in human error (e.g. User forgets the duplicate on the secondary region).

Having this feature would allow a resource to be configured to belong to a bucket only for a limited amount of time and after that time, the system would return him back to his original bucket.Temporary resource assignment

[Under Consideration] Display Unscheduled Activities on Map1119

    Title:
[Under Consideration] Display Unscheduled Activities on Map
    User Story / Description:

In *OFSC* I need to be able to manage geographically diverse unscheduled tasks but currently these do not display on map. Route planners need to see unscheduled tasks geographically in remote areas.  The abilty to view unscheduled on a map (even on their own) will really assist planners setting up routes in areas where customer confirmation is required to establish long distance routes. In Australia we have situations where a tech may visit 5 different towns hundreds of miles apart over the course of a week once customers confirm availability (after initial SLA offering to customer).

[Delivered] Make Google Maps available again916

    Title:
[Delivered] Make Google Maps available again
    User Story / Description:

US Cellular would like Oracle to support both Google Maps and Oracle Maps.

When US Cellular went to 16.2, Google Maps was replaced by Oracle Maps and USCC has had nothing but issues and complaints on a daily basis.

There were many robust features in Google maps that are not in this version of oracle maps. The users are complaining that they
liked the Google map implementation better and would like to know what would it take to go back to the Google map implementation.

Example, Google Maps had satellite view. They used it and liked it in OFSC. They want that functionality using Oracle Maps.

Here are the issues they are encountering:

    1. Slow response drawing the maps and placing activities, resources on it.
    2. Missing Satellite view.
    3. Details missing on maps. Landmarks and Retail listings.
    4. zooming problematic in chrome but ok in firefox.
    5. Breadcrumbs missing.

OFSC ability to have multiple shifts on the same day513

    Title:
OFSC ability to have multiple shifts on the same day
    User Story / Description:

We would like a resource to be able to have multiple shifts on the same day without using an on-call shift.

A technician in this scenario could have planned work in a 0400 - 0600 window, as well as routed work in a 1000 - 1830 window.

Currently, we cannot create these two shifts without using an on-call schedule or having one long schedule (0400 - 1830).  This doesn't meet our needs because our timesheets are integrated with OFSC.

We would like a tech to be able to work a route and deactivate it even with another route holding work on the same day.

Show Non-Compliance reason when selecting resource trace...11

    Title:
Show Non-Compliance reason when selecting resource trace (breadcrumb)
    User Story / Description:

Pre 17.2 upgrade when selecting Non Compliant red resource dot in Map View the Non Compliance reason would also show (e.g. 'Activity completed outside the location') along with the Time and Co-ordinates. This made it instantly recognisable to the user what the compliance issue is - allowing for an optimal intervention/investigation. This functionality has disappeared but is vital to the usability of Smart Location and therefore would like it re-instated.

Add the routing execution ID in the history tab for each...11
Idea posted June 12, 2017 by Mike RoysJourneyer, tagged Field Service in Discussion Forum > Idea Lab public
    Title:
Add the routing execution ID in the history tab for each activity
    User Story / Description:

We would like to see the routing execution ID in the history tab for each activity, so we can see which plan routed the activity.  We run a lot of routing plans and this would help with troubleshooting.

In addition, as part of 17.2, we lost the routing execution log.  Instead, we use the Execution summary under the Routing tab.

However, the Routing execution log had features this did not have such as:

-View button to view runs of specific routing plans

-Ability to see the Routing id right on the list form (currently you have to look at each record)

We need to either keep the routing execution log or be able to add these features back in.  You should be able to filter by time, Execution ID, and Routing run (Routing plan Name).

This would be particularly important if the execution ID was added to the history, as right now we would not be able to search the Routing logs for that particular ID.

Auto-Closing Timeslots: Based on n# of Booked Activities111

    Title:
Auto-Closing Timeslots: Based on n# of Booked Activities
    User Story / Description:

Today we can automatically close a Workzone based on time.  It would very helpful to be able to close the work zone if a certain number of activities have already been booked.

What is requested is that the system allows an automated close based on the Time Slot in the same way it allows currently for the a certain time of the day.

The benefit is that the quota could be closed for example when it reaches 90% rather than a time of the day. Currently if they set the automated closing time at (e.g.) 15:00 it can happen that at 14:00 the quota is already filled and during the remaining time, overbooking can occur.

Geocoding to full UK postcode, rather than just postcode...113
Idea posted March 29, 2018 by Paul RogersExplorer, tagged Field Service in Discussion Forum > Idea Lab public
    Title:
Geocoding to full UK postcode, rather than just postcode sector
    User Story / Description:

I've investigated some issues we're seeing with the OFSC geocoding functionality whereby we're finding either geocoding failures or incorrect locations being returned for the address provided.

We're UK based and are able to provide a correct post code to OFSC, along with address details given to us by the customer.  These details resolve in Google maps reliably.  Because of how UK addresses are structured we cannot guarantee which row of the address will contain the street name and property number, which makes it difficult to ensure that the correct details are passed to OFSC.

As a result we see either geocoding failures, or instances where geocoding is inaccurate by over 4000m.  As well as impacting routing, this also causes issues with compliance errors in smart location.

We need to be able to geocode using just the UK postcode to prevent poor data from the customer causing failures, and as UK postcodes only cover a small geographical area this feature would also result in a greater level of accuracy than is currently available.

    Thanks.

[Duplicate] Allow to assign several work zones to resources...39

[Duplicate] Allow to assign several work zones to resources in OFSC

Currently, in OFSC, to assign work zones to resources, we need to add them one by one. We require a functionality to assign work zones at once to a resource.

Allow to save the selected view in the quota19
Idea posted July 7, 2017 by Hasan YavuzExplorer, tagged Field Service in Discussion Forum > Idea Lab public
    Title:
Allow to save the selected view in the quota
    User Story / Description:

    Hello

The default view of quota has changed between OFSC 16.8 and 17.2.

In 16.8, our business use the view by capacity category (this is defaull view in 16.8) but in 17.2 the default view is by quota.

Business can change the view but after each logout/login, the default view becomes the view of 17.2.

The idea here is to be able to save the choosen view and after logout/login the view remains that which has been saved.

    Thanks

    Hasan
